Distinct Consulting was founded with a single mission: to protect and nurture corporate reputations. We are pragmatic and approach each of our clients with fresh eyes to develop customized, unique strategies.
Over 18 years, that purpose has shaped everything about how we work. We don't delegate. We don't standardise. We don't take mandates that create conflicts.
Behind every Distinct mandate is Laurence Ponchaut: an INSEAD-trained strategist who began her career at Deloitte and PwC, led corporate reputation for ArcelorMittal during its landmark merger, and has spent nearly two decades building relationships across Luxembourg's most influential institutions. As founding President of Letzpact and an INDR-accredited auditor since 2009, she brings a depth of institutional knowledge.

Laurence Ponchaut
Laurence Ponchaut is an articulate strategy and communication professional who brings strategic insights to the table. Firmly convinced that an ESG compliant company is better equipped to outperform in the long run, Laurence has a large experience helping companies transit from a traditional to a CSR management approach.
As a board director, Laurence brings to the table her international experience, extensive cross-sectoral expertise, reputational and financial literacy, and a deep interest for ESG and sound corporate governance.
A strong listener and natural cross-cultural networker - benefiting from a strong network in Luxembourg and internationally - with excellent communication and presentation skills, Laurence helps financial and corporate companies design and implement their strategies, delivering concrete impact with an ability to challenge and support proposals in a constructive and engaging way.
Laurence graduated from Solvay Business School (ULB, Brussels) and HEC Montréal. She holds a MBA from INSEAD and started a career as a strategy consultant for Deloitte and PWC. She then joined the strategy department of Clearstream before acting as “Head of Corporate Reputation” for ArcelorMittal at a time when both were going through mergers to ultimately form respectively the largest European integrated financial market infrastructure and the world’s largest steel producer. She is serving on the Board of different organizations (SPAC, commercial companies and asbl).
Laurence is an auditor and consultant for INDR (Institut National pour le Développement durable et la Responsabilité sociale des entreprises) since its inception, and a founding Board member of ProRSE (the association of CSR professionals in Luxembourg).
Laurence Ponchaut is also a founding member and the President of Letzpact, the association of Public Affairs professionals in Luxembourg.
